Washing and care

Machine wash instructions

Washing our quilts are so easy!

Set your washing machine to a gentle cycle and use cold water, preferably 30 °C or 86 °F, or less. It’s also recommended to wash with a gentle detergent that won't harm your quilt.

We’ve washed and tested our quilts using washing machines so many times. We use high quality fabrics and our quits are tightly stitched, so they won't get damaged that easily. We use high quality, toxic-free dyes as well, so they don't bleed either.

Drying instructions

Hang the quilt out to dry if you have a quilt drying rack or you can use a dryer as well. Just be careful with the timings to make sure the hot air from the dryer doesn't damage the quilt.

Care instructions

Wash your quilts at least twice a year. We recommend air drying your quilt in the sunlight, in between washes, as it helps remove the moisture, kills germs, and keeps your quilt fresh and hygienic.

The best place to store your quilt while not using it is on a bed. There’s no better place than a bed to store your quilts as it provides a flat, dry surface. The second-best storage choice is the cotton quilt bag we provide with your quilt.

Agasti quilt packaging bag

Air dry the quilt for a few hours to make sure there is no moisture then fold it gently before storing it in the quilt bag in a dry place. Take it out of the bag a couple of times a year to change how it's folded to avoid deep creases in the filling. The better you care for your quilt, the longer it’ll last. Enjoy your handcrafted quilt.

Wash instructions for embroidered cushion covers

Please don’t wash the embroidered cushion covers. Washing machine will damage the embroidery, as will handwashing. We advise only spot cleaning for our embroidered cushion covers.

Our handblock printed cushion covers can be machine washed and dried.
